Choosing A Treadmill

Do you have enough space in your room for your treadmill, or would you need to fold it upright when not in use? Most treadmills fold these days without losing sturdiness, modern designs of today give you very good value for money. The treadmills of today are more sturdy and stronger but are larger than models from 20 years ago, so if you have a problem with space then it might be better looking at a smaller fitness machine like an exercise bike.

All Treadmills have consoles displaying the basic time, distance, speed, calories and most have hand pulse sensors, you get a good reading from these sensors but you can invest in a heart rate chest strap which you wear across your chest when training, this will give you a more accurate reading. Most treadmills have programmes, some are basic but quite a lot of treadmills have modern technology built in where you can download apps which will give you many more programmes than you will ever need. There are some treadmills where you can use your ipad to download technology and a lot have bluetooth connect.

When deciding on a treadmill, please note that any working machinery needs maintaining. The maintenance of a treadmill is quite low, but still needs doing in order to preserve the life of your treadmill. Performance is maximised when the deck is kept as clean as possible. A treadmill belt needs lubricating regular which will be explained in your handbook. A pair of clean running shoes to use on your treadmill, stops dirt and grit building up on the deck.

A treadmill is a good choice for your fitness routine, for regular exercising whether walking, jogging or running. Most treadmills have an incline and some have an incline/decline for downhill running. There are treadmills for rehabilitation, the Landice is our most popular model which is the preferred choice for physiotherapists and hospitals. For home use, you can’t go wrong with the treadmills we have selected, we choose treadmills that are sturdy and provide a good performance and are good value for money.
